Hippotherapy

Speech Therapy
We offer skilled occupational and speech therapy services at the farm. Our licensed therapists implement a variety of client-centered treatment strategies including the use of equine movement which is also known as “hippotherapy.” The addition of horses in treatment is enjoyable, motivating, and sensory-regulating for our clients.
Adaptive Riding Lessons
Adaptive/therapeutic riding lessons are recreational horseback riding lessons centered around the therapeutic partnership of horse and rider. These lessons are facilitated by skilled and certified therapeutic riding instructors. Each lesson is tailored to meet the needs of each client as an individual. Each rider learns horsemanship skills which may include mounted or unmounted sessions.
Group Programs
The Making Strides offers a variety of group programming for schools and community groups. We offer individual and group Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) sessions. In addition, we offer monthly Weekend Workshops for children/ young adults of all abilities, inclusive horse camps throughout the summer as well as field trips, private group outings, birthday parties and more!
